Carlene J. Harrison

Carlene J. Harrison, 72, of Vincennes, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis.She was born on May 7, 1946 in Vincennes to Ora Carl and Flora Nadine (Schumate) Shorter.Carlene was a homemaker and a member of the Bunker Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in the church and at various nursing homes and senior centers.Those surviving to cherish Carlene's memories are her sons; Carl Harrison and his wife Leslie of Princeton, and Paul Harrison and his wife Donna of Richmond; her sisters, Joan Plott of Mt. Vernon and Janice Tapley of Vincennes; along with her grandchildren, Logan Harrison, Luke Harrison, and Viola Harrison.Preceding her in death were father, Ora Carl Shorter; her mother, Flora Nadine Gearard; her brother Gary Shorter; and her sister, Georgia Cantwell.A Celebration of Carlene's Life will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, April 29, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Howder officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaktown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service on Monday. Goodwin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Carlene Harrison.
