Carlo Rice

Aaron Rice, 57 of 10010 W. Dewitt School Road, Birdseye, IN passed away at 11:56 a.m. on November 1, 2011 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, IN. Aaron was born on November 14, 1953 in Fostoria, OH the son of Carlo and Leta (Brickles) Rice. Aaron married Elizabeth (Betsy) McFadden on June 26, 1976 and she survives. Aaron was a 1971 graduate of Fostoria High School and he attended Vincennes University and Ivy Tech. Aaron was a transmission lineman for LE Meyer Company and later maintenance mechanic for Essex Wire for 25 years. He enjoyed hunting and also enjoyed fishing and exploring Patoka Lake. Aaron was known for his friendliness and generosity with his time and talents. Aaron is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betsy) Rice of Birdseye, IN; daughter, Ashley Rice and her husband Dameon Daniels of Los Angeles, CA; father and step mother, Carlo and Bessie Rice of Horsebranch, KY; brothers, Tim Rice and his wife Susan of Horse Branch, KY; Robin Rice and his wife Barbara of Beaver Dam, KY; 2 cats, Bug and Beevis and several nieces and nephews. Aaron was preceded in death by his mother Leta Rice. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Rev. Ray Tromley officiating, Friends may visit with Aaron's family from 11-1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society.
