Carol Diane Vonderschmitt

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on December 28, 2023, at the age of 85. Diane was born on January 10, 1938 to Fred and Pauline Peed and was a long time resident of Washington.

Diane owned and operated Town and Country Beauty Salon in her home in Washington where much town news was told and retold for over 40 years.

She took great pride and derived much joy from her family. Diane was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Donald Peed; and her husband, David. She is survived by her daughters Dawn Petrow (Kevin) and Julie Bennett (friend, Mike Goble); grandchildren Jackie Daniels (Barret), David Petrow (Sharla), Jacob Bennett (Halisa), and Shea Jones (Justin). Diane also had four great-granddaughters that brought her much joy late in life, Lily, Layla, Mila and Brie. Mimi was looking forward to the birth in two weeks of her first great- grandson, Austin Jones.

A private graveside funeral service will be held in St. John’s Cemetery for family on Saturday, January 6, 2024. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
