It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Lee Theriac, a beloved mother and cherish friend. Carol was born on February 11, 1930, in Knox County and was the daughter of Chester and Esther (Bloebaum) Curry. Carol's presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. She married the love of her life Jesse Theriac on New Year's Eve and together they spent over 50 years loving each other.


Throughout her life, Carol found joy in the simple things, particularly in her love for walking. Known for traversing the town with ease, her footsteps echoed a life filled with quiet moments of reflection and appreciation for the world around her.


After a life dedicated to caring for her family, Carol peacefully departed on March 2, 2024, in Oaktown, Indiana. She leaves behind her daughters, Sue Hagemeier (Harley) and Tess "Judith" Harvey; 3 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Doll and Doris Parish; brothers, Ed Curry and Wayne Curry, all who will forever cherish the memories they shared. She is preceded in death by husband, Jesse Theriac; her parents, Chester and Esther Curry; sisters, Emma Manning and Mary Archer; and brother Chester Curry Jr.


A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, 6990 S. Decker Road, Vincennes, Indiana 47591. Pastor Nathan Rastl will be officiating. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Carol. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church or Edwardsport United Methodist Church.
