Carol Phillippe, 61, of Vincennes passed away February 28, 2016, at her home.Carol was a sociology professor at Vincennes University.Born December 28, 1954, in Iowa City, IA, she was the daughter of Walter and Mary (Breeding) Abendroth. Carol's husband, David Phillippe, who passed away in 1986, and her mother, preceded her.Surviving are her children, Darcie Bahr and her husband, Bobby, of Vincennes, David P. Phillippe and his wife, Laura, of Orlando, FL, and Derek Ponton and his wife, Lindsey, of Vincennes; her father and step-mother, Walter and Beverly (Humphress) Abendroth of Merritt Island, FL; sisters, Julia Recker and her husband, Greg, of Tempe, AZ, and Kathryn Abendroth Joice of Vincennes; brothers, Kirk Abendroth and his wife, Leah, of Vincennes, Eric Abendroth of Columbus, IN, and Michael Abendroth and his wife, Tammy, of Lawrenceville, IL; grandchildren Sarah, Mary, Zoey, and Charlotte Bahr, Claire Phillippe, and Lucy Ponton; and many nieces and nephews.Carol's life will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 10:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home. Friends may visit with her family from 5:00 - 8:00 on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
