Carolyn Durham

Carolyn Sue Durham, 76, formerly of Vincennes and Sparta, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Timberlake Care Center in Kansas City, Missouri.She was born October 9, 1942 in Lawrenceville, Illinois to Jacob and Beulah (Crawford) Elder.Carolyn had worked as a payroll clerk for Packaging Corporation in Vincennes and in the Accounting office for Linc in Belleville Illinois. While living in Vincennes she attended the Franklin Heights Christian Church and was a member of the Lions Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bridge, knitting, crocheting, and quilting.Surviving are her son, Burt Durham and his wife Durenda of Independence, MO; her brothers, Glenn Elder and his wife Margaret of St. Charles, MO. And Eldon Elder of Mt. Vernon, IN; her sister, Nellie Bruce of St. Charles, MO; and her two grandchildren, Brianna and Aidan Durham.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Durham whom she married on March 30, 1963 and preceded her on February 25, 2013; a brother, Charles Elder; and a sister, Virginia Elder.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday EST at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Tromley officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until the service. Goodwin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Carolyn Durham.
