Carolyn Sue Gardner, 78, of Monroe City, IN, passed away July 10, 2012, at BridgePointe Health Campus. Born January 26, 1934, in Knox County, IN, she was the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Berry) Mooney. She was preceded by her parents; and her husband, Teddy Gardner, whom she married Oct. 7, 1952, (he passed away February 3, 2008). Surviving are her daughters, Glenda Elsham of Overland Park, KS, Pam Singleton of Monroe City, IN, and Tina Lane of Louisville, KY; her sisters, Barbara Smith of Michigan, Jaccia Sager of Michigan, and Judy Teeter of Arizona; brothers Bill and Jerry Mooney, both of Michigan; grandchildren, Tamara Cochran, Ryan Cochran, Philip Elsham, Jona Josephson, Justin Singleton, Kalli Singleton, Jessica Lane Brown, and Jacob Lane; great-grandchildren, Cora Cochran, Jacs Cochran, Patrick Rhoads, and Garvin Brown; and a special friend, Martha Stroud of Monroe City. Carolyn was a homemaker, and a member of the Monroe City First Church of God. She enjoyed playing bunko and euchre. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, at 10:00 am, by Pastor Mark Nielson, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Friends may call from 4:00
