Carolyn Jobe

Carolyn Mae Wesley Jobe, 82, passed away on November 12, 2019 at CHI Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Carolyn was born on August 13, 1937 in Lawrenceville, IL the daughter of Carl E. and Clara Opal (Padgett) Wesley. She married John L. Jobe and he preceded her in death.Carolyn was a 1955 graduate of Lawrenceville High School, a member of Central Church of Christ and retired from Good Samaritan Hospital after twenty plus years as a staff Registered Nurse.Survivors include her daughter, Susan Sweeten-Later and her husband Scott of Hurricane, UT; son, Roy Michael Sweeten and his wife Dana of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Beulah Fay Whitman of Normal, IL; grandchildren, Marcus Wesley Simmon, Katlyn Shea Worst, Amber McGlone, Holly Horrall; great grandchildren, Tenley Lynn Worst, Emma and Julia Schaff and Jayden Hatfield. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John L. Jobe and her son, Charles Phillip Sweeten.Friends may visit with Carolyn's family from Noon until the hour of the service time of 2:00 pm on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Roger Wright officiating. Carolyn will be laid to rest in Lawrenceville City Cemetery at a later date alongside her son Charles Sweeten.
