Carolyn Malott

Carolyn R. Malott, 74, passed away at 5:20 pm on Monday, Aril 22, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Carolyn was born on January 14, 1939 in Knox County the daughter of Norman and Geraldine (Egbert) Kahre. She married Art Malott and he preceded her in death in 1975. Carolyn worked at the Vincennes Sun Commercial in the advertising department and later retiring from Frito-Lay as a laborer after thirty five years of service. She was a member of the First Church of God and attended bible study at Community United Methodist Church. Carolyn loved to play euchre and was in two euchre clubs in Petersburg. She loved her children and grandchildren and also loved flowers and antiques. Survivors include her sons, Stephen Malott of Lebanon, IN; Chris Malott of Vincennes, IN; sister, Sandra Radcliff of Petersburg, IN; two grandchildren, Rebecca and Logan Malott; niece and nephew, Gayle Adams and Brian Meek; and many loved ones and friend's. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son Jeffrey Malott. Funeral services for Carolyn will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, with Pastor John Moreland officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Carolyns family from 10:00 am until the service time of noon on Thursday.
