Carroll Kays

Carroll E. Kays, 76, of Vincennes, passed away at 10:24 am Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at his residence with his family at his side.He was born March 4, 1942 in Washington, Indiana to Carlos and Dennie (Houchin) Kays.Carroll had worked most recently at VanGo and was a truck driver most of his life. A 1960 Stendal High School graduate, Carroll loved his dogs and enjoyed camping, gardening, Nascar, flea markets, and antiqueing. Carroll also was an avid Purdue basketball and Rivet girls' basketball fan.Surviving are his wife, Mona (Litherland) Kays, whom he married on September 6, 1988; his children, Lisa Black and her husband Jeff of Wheatland, Lana Voegerl of Washington, Kyla McKinney of Vincennes, and Ryan Kays and his wife, Rita of Wheatland; his grandchildren, Matt Howard, Kelsey Traylor, Nick Voegerl, Jayden Kays, and Molly Kays; and his great granddaughter, Faye Fisher.Per Carroll's wishes he will be cremated and there will be no public services.
