Catherine Durham

Catherine "Katie" Durham, 88, passed away at 8:27 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Lodge of the Wabash. Katie was born on August 17, 1924 in Bruceville the daughter of James and Margaret (Brittingham) Hayden. She married George Durham on April 3, 1942 and he preceded her in death on June 3, 1997. Katie was a homemaker and a member of Franklin Height Christian Church. She was also very much active in Eastern Star. Survivors include her sons, Billy Durham and his wife, Carolyn of Sparta, IL; R. Bruce Durham of Lakeville, MN; grandchildren, Burt Durham of Kansas City, Mo; Heidi Marie Durham of Seattle, WA; Ryan Hamilton Durham of Broomfield, CO; great grandchildren, Brianna and Aidan Durham of Kansas City, MO,niece Donna Sue Cullison of Bicknell, nephew Robert Durham, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and two sisters.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Ron Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Katies family from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent at www.goodwinfamilyfh.com.
