Cecil E. "Bud" May, 89, of Colonial Assisted Living, passed away at 4:10 A.M. on February 1, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Bud was born on December 31, 1921 in Daviess County, Indiana the son of Austin Russell May and Dorothy Condry. He married Irene Page on July 17, 1947 and she preceded him in death on December 13, 2005. Bud worked as the head painter in the Maintenance Department at Vincennes University. He also enjoyed gardening. He was a veteran of World War II Survivors include sons, Bill May of Vincennes, IN; Roger May of Vincennes, IN; Chris May and his wife Maddalena of Dublin, GA and daughter, Betsy Marchino and her husband Larry of Bruceville, IN. Also surviving are grandchildren, David May, Bob May, Tonya Wineger, Scott Marchino, Christopher May, Samantha May and great grandchildren, Hannah Wineger, Keegan Wineger, Malcolm Marchino and Sidney Marchino. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son, Russell May, 1 sister and 1 step brother. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Washington, IN with the Dr. Rev. Kate Lambertson officiating. There will be no visitation. Goodwin Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
