Cecil Morgan

Cecil Morgan Jr., 70, of Vincennes, passed away at 1:40 pm Sunday, February 23, 2020 at his residence.He was born July 7, 1949 in Vincennes, Indiana to Cecil Alvin and Wilma Jean (Reed) Morgan Sr.Cecil worked as a logger and for Lewis Bakery for 16 years. Cecil served in country in the Marines during the Vietnam War. A member of the VFW, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.Surviving are his wife Marilyn (VanMatre) Morgan whom he married in 1995; his children Clint Morgan and his girlfriend Danielle Wheatley of Vincennes, Jacob Morgan of Vincennes, Brandi Beck and her husband John of Missoui, Rusty Clinton Alton of Vincennes, Tracy Mae Alton of Vincennes, and April Aline Bledsoe and her husband Gene of Terre Haute; his sisters Janet Wininger of Vincennes, and Joy Morgan of Lawrenceville; his grandchildren Clinton Wayne Morgan Jr., Madison Lambert, Rykon Beck, Laurel Alton, Chris Alton, Garrett Alton, and Shalynn Alton, Brooke O'Dell, Morgan Riker, Bethany Bledsoe, and Kylee Bledsoe; his great grandchildren Carson, Haleigh, Kaydence, Sydney, and Cheyenne; along with his best friend Robert Wininger.Cecil was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Wilma Morgan; his sister Judy Riker; and two grandchildren Michael Galligan and Candice O'Dell.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes with burial to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery where military rites will be provided by the All-Weather Firing Squad. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service on Thursday.
