He was born in Daviess County to the late Leo Mattingly and Mary Yates Mattingly. He was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church, also attended Walnut Memorial Baptist Church with his friends often. Preceded him in death by his sister, Doris Jean Stewart, 1996. Surviving are his brothers, Frederick Leo Mattingly of Owensboro, Ky. Thomas Wayne Mattingly of Hatfield, Ky. Sisters: Judith Ann Whelan of Prospect, Ky. Charlotte Elaine Underhill of Owensboro, Ky. Many Nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews. Services are at 10:00am. Monday, October 5th at Immaculate Catholic Church Visitation at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home from 2:00 to 8:00pm. Sunday and from 8:00 to 9:30am.
