Charles Mccrary

Charles P. "Paul" McCrary better known as Bunk, age 65, passed away at 10:13 pm on June 7, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Bunk was born on September 10, 1953 in Vincennes, the son of Paul Daniel and Patty Ruth Ann (Young) McCrary. He married Pam Peters on February 25, 1977.Bunk was a 1971 graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School and attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in his younger years. He had worked for Royal- Crown Cola at a young age and then went to work for Prairie Farms-Holland Dairy for a few years. He then went back to work for Royal-Crown Cola and worked there for several years retiring in 2016. After retirement he found joy in working for Good Samaritan Hospital as a valet for three years. Bunk was an avid sports fan, especially Vincennes Lincoln High School, Indiana University and Duke University. He also enjoyed NASCAR, dirt track racing and enjoyed playing golf in his younger years. Bunk also supported his son while he was coaching basketball and baseball at Rivet High School. He supported all area high school athletic teams, but deep down he bled green. More importantly than anything else, Bunk loved his family and was always playing practical jokes on all of them.Survivors include his beloved family, wife, Pam McCrary ; father, Paul McCrary and Betty; daughter, Danyelle McCrary; son, Curtis McCrary all of of Vincennes; sister, Patty Hall and her husband Tim of Vincennes; his nephew, Bert Dodd IV and his wife Kerri of Vincennes; and his little buddy Mike Pepmeier of Vincennes. Bunk was preceded in death by his mother Patty who passed away in 1992.Friends may visit with Bunk's family on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 3-8 pm at Historic Adams Coliseum, 620 Buntin St., Vincennes, IN. Please use the Buntin Street entrance. Bunk's funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Adams Coliseum in Vincennes with Dr. Darrel Bobe officiating. Bunk will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy V Foundation, The V Foundation for Cancer Research 14600, Weston Parkway Cary, NC 27513.
