Charles Orndorff

Arnie Orndorff Charles "Arnie" Orndorff, 84, of Vincennes, Indiana passed away to eternal rest and peace on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Arnie was born on December 31, 1935 in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Owen and Margaret (Watjen) Orndorff and husband to Marilyn (Miller) Orndorff for over 66 years. Arnie, a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1954, had a long and successful career as a union brick mason. In his free time, Arnie enjoyed socializing around town, his many dogs over the years, restoring antique furniture, tending to his garden and watching Indiana sports. Arnie was selfless, loved helping others and enjoyed simply bringing smiles to others' faces. Arnie is survived by his wife Marilyn (Miller) Orndorff of Vincennes, Indiana, sisters Margaret Ann Jones and Carolyn Sue Barksdale, both of Terre Haute, Indiana; his daughter, Jody Morgan of Noank, Connecticut, and former son-in-law Jerry Sinclair of Vincennes, Indiana; grandchildren Wendy and Amanda Sinclair of Vincennes, Indiana, Jennifer Sinclair-Rall of Vincennes, Indiana, Matt & Courtney Morgan of Rockford, Illinois, and Chris & Tracey Morgan of Arlington, Virginia; and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Owen and Margaret; a daughter, Lynn Orndorff; and a son-in-law, Mark Morgan. The family would like to thank the staff at Gentle Care nursing home for their wonderful care of Arnie and Dr. Daniel Combs for his unwavering friendship for many years. He will be laid to rest by family and friends in a ceremony to be scheduled in Spring of 2021. Arnie was a member of the First Christian Church of Vincennes, Indiana.
