Charles Willis

Charles L. "Charlie" Willis, 57, passed away at 7:10 pm on August 9, 2018 at Daviess Community Hospital. Charlie was born on November 11, 1960 in Daviess county the son of Jesse and Shirley (McCracken) Willis.Charlie had been a coal miner for several years last working for Black Beauty Coal Company. He enjoyed working on things, especially his old cars. Charlie loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales.Survivors include his mother, Shirley Willis of Washington; sons, C.D. Willis of Washington, Clayton Willis and his wife Carrie of Monroe City; brother, Junior Willis of Bicknell; sister, Missy Bath of Washington; a half-sister; and two grandchildren, Cayden and Charlotte Willis. Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Jesse, a sister Mary Wolven, and nephew Scott Bath.Friends may visit with Charlies family from 4-8 pm on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State Street, Washington, IN. Charlies funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
