Charlotte J Strate

Charlotte J. Carson Strate passed away at home surrounded by her family on November 7, 2023. Charlotte was born on December 30, 1945 to the late Noble (Buck) Carson and Helen Howder Carson.

Charlotte worked hard all of her life in several vocations, and spent much of her free time crafting, sewing, and participating in local craft shows and fairs. She loved spending time on her back porch enjoying her flowers, sitting with her dogs, and visiting with friends and family that stopped by. Charlotte adored watching her grandsons play sports, her favorite being basketball, just like her father. Charlotte was joyful, affectionate, and kind. She was deeply loved, and her sense of humor, quick wit and laugh will be greatly missed.

Charlotte was preceded in death by both her parents, brother Mike (Brenda) Carson, oldest daughter Lisa (Tim) Watts, and grandchildren Justin Martin and Erica Martin. She is survived by her children Lynn Martin, Stacey (Dave) Higgins, Stephanie (Michael) Carter, Brian Auberry, Jennifer Field (fiancée Kevin Newman), Laura Bobe, and Denny Strate, along with brother Mark Carson and her beloved sister and best friend, Trena Carson. Also included are her 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at  2:00 PM in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Charlotte.
