Chester R. Seals, a devoted husband, father, and hardworking member of the Labors Union, passed away on May 15, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on November 6, 1948, Chester was a proud outdoorsman who found joy in fishing, spending time on the river, hunting, and camping in his beloved camper.
His favorite day of the year was Independence Day, where he would gather with friends and family to host a fish fry at the campground, sharing stories and laughter as they fried fresh catch from the river. Chester's love for the outdoors and his vibrant spirit will always be remembered by those who knew him.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Carol Seals, and his son, Jesse Seals (Amber Seals); stepsons, Brett Chestnut (Sherrie) and Bryan Chestnut; brother, Phillip Seals (Sharon); grandchildren, Lana Seals, Daisy Seals, Alexis Ivey (Brandon), Skylar Lindsey (Ben), and Colin Souerdike; great grandchildren, Michael Ivey, Raelynn Ivey, and Elenor Lindsey; honorary sons, Coty Seals and family, Matt Seals, Brandon Miller, Justin Haaff, and Eric Boger; honorary daughter, Kathy Wininger; also several nieces and nephews. Chester is preceded in death by his parents, Louden and Neoma (Stewart) Seals; and brothers and sisters.
A Graveside Service to celebrate Chester's life will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes on May 29, 2024, at 11:30 am with Pastor Trevor Murry officiating.
