Christina Chambers

Christina Irene (Burgess) Chambers, 40, of 1623 E. Ramsey Rd., Vincennes, passed away at 12:50 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2011 at her residence. Born April 15, 1971, in Vincennes, she was the daughter of David Norman and Virginia Edith (Slater) Burgess.Christina was a pharmacy technician for CVS and was a Mary Kay Consultant. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church and the League of Women Voters and enjoyed biking, hiking, exercising, running and participated in the Cure Tour.Survivors include her husband, Erik Chambers of Vincennes; sons, Dylan Levi Chambers and his wife, Hillary, of Tucson, AZ and Coty James Chambers of Vincennes; mother, Virginia Lacey of Vincennes; father, David Burgess and his wife, Carla, of Lawrenceville, IL; sisters, Jennifer Johnson and Kimberly Brackney both of Vincennes; and brother, Jeremy Burgess of Vincennes; maternal grandmother, Millie Slater of Vincennes; paternal grandmother, Elsie Burgess of Vincennes; fourteen nieces and nephews. She was also loved and adored by her in-laws, Phil and Marlene Chambers and Brandi Reel and Reese the cat.Preceding Christina in death by her brother, Daniel L. Burgess, sister, Amber N. Burgess-Cowan; maternal grandfather, Ralph L. Slater and paternal grandfather, Lloyd D. Burgess.Private funeral services will be held with Rev. Cheryl Garbe officiating.
