Clara Canida

Clara Jane (Lagle) Canida, 72, passed away at 4:42 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Daviess community Hospital in Washington, IN. Clara was born in Vincennes on October 9, 1939 the daughter of Alonzo and Bertha Jane (Weber) Lagle. Clara was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the Wheatland Christian Church. She loved crafts, sewing, fishing and computers. Clara was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren while they were growing up. She also loved spending time on the river. Survivors include her son, Jim Miles of Washington, In; daughters Barbara Miles of Vincennes; Mechelle Vail of Westerville, OH; brothers, Richard Lagle of Missouri; Lonnie Lagle of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Nickie Case, A.J. Miles, Casey Vail, Makenzie Vail and great grandchildren, Davin Henderson, Drake Henderson and Emelia Mustaca. Clara was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronnie Joe Lagle. A memorial service for Clara will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Wheatland Christian Church with Brent Cramer officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wheatland Christian Church. There will be no visitation and Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
