Clarence Hoover

Gene Hoover, 77, of Vincennes, passed away Dec. 2, 2012 at his home. He was retired from Crane Naval Weapons Support Center, where he had worked as an electrician. Having served in the Marine Corps, he was a member of the American Legion, 40et8, the Moose,and the Vincennes Boat Club. Born May 20, 1935, he was the son of Paul and Mary (Biddle) Hoover. Surviving is his wife, Frances (Snyder) Hoover; children, Mike (Marcia) Hoover of Santa Claus, IN, Diana (Joe) Manning, and Susie (Pete) McCrary, both of Vincennes; a brother, Paul Hoover of Illinois; his grandchildren, Mikey, Brent, Carie, Whitney, Megan, Mickey, Josh, Shaun, Jason, Metzie, and Angie; and several great-grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 8:00 on Tuesday, at the Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main Street. There will be no other public services.
