Clyde Jones

Clyde Junior Jones, age 84, Vincennes, passed away at 6:40 am January 14, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital with his family by his side. Clyde was born January 16, 1930 in Vincennes to the late Clyde F. and Obeda (Booker) Jones. He married Dorothy Silver in Bicknell, IN on June 26, 1993. Along with his parents, his half brother Michael Jones preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Vincennes, his sons Steve Jones and Roger Jones and his wife Janice both of Vincennes. Two daughters, Nancee Dunkerly and her husband Paul of Linton, IN and Martha Cole of Vincennes; one sister, Barbara Welton of Vincennes, step-son, Vince Silver and his wife Dana of Lexington, KY, step-daughter, Kim Silver of Lexington, KY; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three step grandchildren. Clyde loved to golf , fish and visit with his friends. He was a member of the American Legion Post #73, 40 et 8, Moose, Elks, Indiana State Police Alliance, FOP, Masonic Lodge#1, Knox County Shrine Club and Hadi Shrine Temple. He served in the United States Air Force. Clyde was a bricklayer for sixty years, he retired as a business agent for the bricklayers of IN/Ky Local 4 in Terre Haute in 1995. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital, In care of Gardner Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main St., Vincennes, IN 47591.
