Connie Byrd

Connie F. Byrd, passed away at 12:29 pm on April 19, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Connie was born in Daviess County, IN on February 26, 1955 the daughter of Vople and Virginia (Frazo) Russell. She married Mark Byrd on January 28, 1974.Connie was a bartender for the Decker Tavern, and enjoyed her family, fishing, and camping.Survivors include her husband, Mark Byrd of Hazleton; daughters, Lee Ann Phillips and her husband Adam of Bruceville, Jennifer Young and her husband Harry of Decker, Kristy Mayles and her husband Jason of Decker; siblings, Gordon Russell and his wife Carol of Decker, Larry Russell and his wife Patsy of Decker, Bob Russell and his wife Cindy of Vincennes, Norma Myers of Vincennes, Mary Alice Stuckert of Texas; grandchildren, Austin Young, Garrett Young, Jebadiah Mayles, Tanner Young, Zane Mayles, Alexandria Phillips; and several nieces and nephews. Connie was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters. Connie will be cremated at her request and there will be no services. Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes has been entrusted with Connie's final arrangements.
