Curt Small

Curt L. Small, 71 of 13293 N. Risley Road, Oaktown, IN, passed away on May 18, 2012 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY. Curt was born on February 28, 1941 in Louisville, KY the son of George J. Sr. and Eliza Lyons. Curt worked in sales for Numerical Concepts and was a member of the Hadi Shrine; 32nd Degree Mason; a lifetime member of the Elks and the Moose. Curt loved his dog and meeting with his coffee buddies every morning. He was also a member of the Drag Racing Hall of Fame. Survivors include his son, Robin Small of Florida; step-son, Brad Elliott and his wife Leah of Evansville, IN; brother, George J. Small Jr. and his wife Joyce of Louisville, KY; nieces, Beth Small of Louisville, KY; Laura Vincent and her husband Jack of Louisville, KY; nephew, Michael Small and his wife Bridgett of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Isaac and Millie Elliott, cousin, Ray Pierce of Louisville, KY., best friends, Dr. Richard Whaley and John Mineo and a host of friends. Preceding Curt in death were his parents, wife, Carol Ann Small, daughter, Melissa Small and son Joshua Small. A Celebration of Life Service for Curt will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Friends may visit with Curt's family from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
