Dale L. Wilson, 90, of Monroe City, IN went to be with the Lord October 17, 2022. He was born at home in Monroe City, IN on October 13, 1932, to the late Herman E. and Opal L. Wilson. Dale graduated from Monroe City High School in 1950. He married the love of his life, Lutherla (Mutchmore) Wilson on June 3, 1952. Dale proudly served the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an active member of Monroe City First Church of God and, served as the Treasurer for 30 years as well as teaching Sunday School. Dale worked as a cattle and grain farmer for all his life and received the Knox County Outstanding Cattleman Award in 1985. He also served on the South Knox School Board from 1972-1976 and Citizen State Bank Board for many years. Dale enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends to farm tours, including a trip to Switzerland, France, and Germany; and collecting antique Farmall Tractors. He was also proud of his family and loved spending time with them. Dale will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lou Wilson; sisters-in-law Patty Wilson and Nelta Spayd; brothers-in-law John Perry and John Spayd. Dale is survived by his children Rhonda (Steve) Dreiman, Susie (Ed) Cardinal, Duane (Lisa) Wilson; grandchildren Lindsay (Ryan) Yoder, Jason (Stesha) Fossmeyer, Ryan (Jenny) Cardinal, Evan Fossmeyer, Aaron (Tara) Cardinal, Michael (Keary) Wilson, Courtney (Nick) Rusch, Ellen (Christian) Hutchinson, Jordan Cardinal; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings Don (Rhoda) Wilson, Bill Wilson, Shirley Perry; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mr. Wilson. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Monroe City First Church of God from 2-4pm. A funeral service will be held Sunday, October 23, 2022, at 4pm. A graveside services will be held Monday, October 24, 2022, at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, IN at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Monroe City First Church of God in Dale's honor. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Bridgepointe Health Campus for their loving care of Mr. Wilson for last 4 years along with Good Samaritan Hospice the last few months.
