Dallas Riker

Dallas W. Riker, 89, passed away at 11:45 am on December 11, 2020 at the Emerald House in Washington. Dallas was born on October 18, 1931 in Daviess County the son of Gene and Esta (Stafford) Riker. He married Janet M. Armstrong on September 2, 1954 and she preceded him in death on November 9, 2011.Dallas had been a coal miner for over seventeen years retiring in 1994 and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, and served his country in the United States Army. He also was a member of the Washington Boat Club and enjoyed camping with his wife and family.Survivors include his sons, Tim Riker and his wife Pattie of Washington, Jeff Riker and his wife Barbara of Washington, Paul Riker of Fishers; sisters, Evelyn Lee and her husband Brayton of New Albany, Sharon Tomey and her husband George of Bedford; brother, Randall Riker of Independence, KY; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Dallas is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janet Riker, sister, Wanita Walker, brother, Donald Riker, and grandson, Mark William Richardson.Dallas will be cremated and will be laid to rest in Bethel Cemetery next to his wife Janet.
