Danice (Lay) Andrus

Danice (Lay) Andrus, 63, passed away on October 29, 2024, in Anaheim, California, with her family by her side. Danice dedicated her professional career to the field of chemistry, working as an organic chemist for BIOVIA at Dassault. Her passion for science was only rivaled by her devotion to her family, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

A proud wife, Danice is survived by her loving husband, Cameron. Together they raised two wonderful children, Winston (Emily) Andrus and Olivia (Quinn) Andrus-Drennan, who brought her immense pride and joy. Danice was also a cherished daughter to her mother, Ellen Lay, and a supportive sister to her siblings: Otto Lay Jr. (Deniese), Norman Lay (Sonya), and Tammy Lay. She adored her extended family, which included several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Danice's life was marked by her profound love for her family, good times at Disney, and her contagious enthusiasm for life. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her for her kindness and warmth.

A Celebration of Life for Danice Andrus will be held on December 7, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Pioneer Oil, 400 Main St, Vincennes, IN 47591. Friends, family, and all those who were touched by Danice’s life are invited to celebrate her remarkable journey and cherish her memory. Please enter the 4th street side of the building

Danice is preceded in death by her father, Otto Lay Sr.  She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and the treasured memories of a life well-lived.
