Daniel Dale Anderson

Daniel Dale Anderson, 74, of Monroe City, Indiana, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. He was married to the love of his life, Pamela (Dostert) Anderson for 55 years. Dan was born on November 16, 1948 and is the son of Marvin and Martha Lois (Hancock) Anderson. Dan and Pam built a beautiful life together with their two children, Kelly Anderson and Doug Anderson.

Dan had worked for Duke Energy for 34 years and retired in 2007. He worked at Edwardsport Generating Station, Gibson Generating Station, and Vincennes Sub-Station Maintenance. Pam also retired that same year from South Knox School Corporation, and they enjoyed riding their Honda Goldwing as they rode it up the east coast and also made 14 trips to Florida. He was an avid collector of IH Farmall tractors and memorabilia, and collected Cub Cadets. Dan also liked to watch crime tv shows, spending time with his family, telling everyone that would listen why Ford vehicles were superior to others, and being with his favorite dog, Lilly Mae. Dan was a giver in life and one of the most loving men you would ever meet.

Dan is survived by his wife, Pam Anderson; daughter, Kelly Jo Anderson; son, Doug Anderson and his wife Shelby; mother, Martha Lois Anderson; sister, Dixie Fields and her husband Nick; grandchildren, Taylor Dawson, Cody Dawson, and Addy Anderson; niece, Christa McCoy; nephew, Clint Fields; one great niece; and 3 great nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Anderson.

Visitation for Dan will be held Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home. Pastor Jarrod Chattin will officiate the funeral service on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hamline Chapel Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Dan.
