Daniel Patrick Mullen

Daniel Patrick “Pat” “Henry” Mullen, 72, Washington, Indiana peacefully passed away at his home on

Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

Pat was born on March 17, 1951, in Washington, Indiana to Maurice and Doris M. (Holt) Mullen.

He graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 1969 and was an active member of Our Lady of

Hope Catholic Church and an honorary lifetime member of Washington Knights of Columbus #630.

Pat is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 52 years, Brenda Sue (Goodwin) Mullen, whom he

married August 13, 1971.

Pat leaves behind two sons - John, and daughter-in-law, Sarah, of Washington, Indiana and Brian, and

daughter-in-law, Tara, of Delano, Minnesota. Pat fiercely loved and was extremely proud of his three

grandsons, Jaylen, Sage, and Nathan Mullen and absolutely adored his five granddaughters - Taylin,

Kallin, Colleen, and Karcyn, and Brynleigh Mullen.

Pat is also survived by his brother, Larry Mullen, and sister-in-law, Patty, along with sister in-law and

brother in-law, Sharon and John Arnold, and brother-in-law, Steve Goodwin.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Doris Mullen, along with two brothers, Stephen

Mullen and Jimmy Mullen.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday in Washington at Our Lady of

Hope Catholic Church with Father Juan as celebrant. A short, private burial service for close family will

follow immediately afterwards at St. John’s Cemetery.

A celebration of Pat’s life and a meal will be held in his honor following the church service at the Knights

of Columbus on Main Street in downtown Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church or the

Washington K of C Ladies Auxiliary.
