Daniel R. Ivers

Daniel R. "Disco Dan" Ivers, 67, of Vincennes, died on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville.He was born June 18, 1950 in Vincennes to the late Bertha (Clayton) Murphy and Alva Ivers.Daniel graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1969. He retired from T & M Trucking as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting and frog-gigging.Daniel is survived by his daughter, Dena McCammon and her husband, Shawn, of Vincennes; sons, Robbie Ivers and his wife, Amber, of Lawrence County, Illinois, and Shane Ivers and his wife, Gina, of Oaktown; grandchildren Dakota and Ariel Oliver, Kay-Leigh Holland, and Jason Michael Hess Jr.; sisters Donna Carter and her husband, Mike, of Decker Chapel, Beth Kemmerer and her husband, Doug, of Evansville and Alvena (Bill) Deckard and her husband, Bill, of Vincennes; step-brothers Tim and Daniel Murphy; step-sister Terri Murphy; the mother of his children, Junaita Shade; and best friends Mike Lamberg and Joe Hartigan.Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Albert Murphy.Memorial Graveside services will be held at 2:15 pm Saturday June 9th , 2018 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home.
