Danny Fowler

Danny Fowler, 81, passed away at 12:30 pm on March 28, 2017 at Transcendent Health Care of Boonville. He was born on July 11, 1935 in Knox County, the son of Stanley and Margaret (Dick) Fowler. Danny began working as a barber at the Grand Hotel in Vincennes. He left there and served his country in the United States Navy. Coming home after his stint in the Navy, Danny opened his own barber shop, and continued there until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of the American Legion, the Vincennes Boat Club, and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife, Angela (Faught) Fowler of Newburgh, IN; daughter, Cindy Wolfe of Newburgh, IN; son, Brian Fowler and his wife, Nancy, of Roanoke, IN; sister, Peggy Driskill of Evansville, IN; brothers, Joe Fowler of Evansville, IN, and Dick Fowler of Chandler, IN; grandchildren, Jessica Collins and her husband, Matthew, Matthew Siewers and his wife, Fernanda, Kaleb Fowler and his wife, Dana, and Levi Fowler; great grandchildren, Matthew Santiago Siewers, Marcus Danny Siewers, Ava Grace Collins, Ella Faith Collins, and Olivia Hope Collins. Danny was preceded in death by his parents; a half- brother, Tom Purkiser; and a son-in-law, Richard Wolfe. Friends may visit with his family from 12:00 - 2:00 EST on Monday, at Goodwin Funeral Home.
