David Emmons

July 15, 1953 — April 30, 2023

David Lee Emmons, 69, of Vincennes, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 30, 2023. Dave was born on July 15, 1953 and is the son of Merle and Norma (Cochran) Emmons. He married Loretta (Latch) Emmons on May 2, 1987, just recently celebrating 36 years together. Dave was the owner and operator of Heritage Fireplace Pools and Spas. He was hands on at work at all times and was a true leader in his role as owner. He was a positive role model and that is reflected in his children's work ethic they have today. Dave was dedicated to reading his bible and had great faith in our Lord. He enjoyed watching old westerns, watching the sun rise and set, taking Loretta out to eat every weekend at a steakhouse, his trucks (which always had all the bells and whistles), mustangs, 57 Chevy's, and his dogs Babe and Sadie Dave is survived by his wife, Loretta (Latch) Emmons; children, Rick Emmons and his wife Danielle of Vincennes and Misty Hume and her husband Joe of Vincennes; sister, Sharon Self of Vincennes; grandchildren, Paige Emmons, Chase Emmons, Makayla Hume, and Cohen Hume. Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Norma (Cochran) Emmons; and his brother, Phil Emmons. Visitation for Dave will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 4:00 pm- 8:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held Thursday, May 4 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Brent Cramer officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations made be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Israel Children's Foundation. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of David.
