David Mccoy

David Earl McCoy, Sr., 82, of Plainfield, IN passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born June 1, 1928, in Oakville, Iowa, the son of Edward and Rhoda (Ravellette) McCoy.David had worked at Pomeroys in Vincennes and after they closed he moved to Pennsylvania. He served his country in the United States Army and he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.Survivors include his sons, David McCoy, Jr. of Monrovia, IN and Mike Johnson of Columbus, OH; brother, Victor McCoy of Westport, IL; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.Preceding David in death were his parents, wife, Mildred (Potts) McCoy and son, Mark McCoy and sisters, Fannie Johnson McCoy, Hazel Evans and Marie McCoy.Funeral services will be Monday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 5245 Broadway St. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Monday.
