David Milligan

David A. Milligan, 74, passed away at 8:20 am on December 11, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital. David was born on October 12, 1944 in Vincennes and is survived by his wife Peggy whom he married on September 16, 1978 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.David was a graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School and went on to earn degrees at Vincennes University and Indiana University. Prior to his early retirement, he served as Assistant Dean of Students at Vincennes University. He attended First Christian Church and was a past member of the Elks. David enjoyed swimming and was a lifeguard in his younger days. He also enjoyed golfing, summers outside, planting flowers with his wife Peggy, spending time with family and playing with the family dog Ty.Other survivors include son, Steven Milligan of Vincennes; brother, Jay Weaver of Vincennes; step-brothers, David Weaver of Plainfield, Larry Weaver and his wife Mary Anne of Terre Haute; sister-in-law, Lynn Crookham and her husband Joel of Thunder Bay, Ontario; brother-in-law, Rob Cowper and his wife Anne of North Bay, Ontario; cousin, Trudy Davis and her husband Walt of Indianapolis. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and his dog Ty. David was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Weaver; step-father, Wesley Weaver and his cousin Vickie Akers.Friends may visit with David's family on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 4-7 pm at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. David's funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Akers officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
