David Pruitt

David R. Pruitt, 75, of Vincennes, passed away at 12:30 am Friday, September 21, 2018 at GentleCare of Vincennes with his wife and step-daughter at his side.He was born September 17, 1943 in Vincennes to Paul and Dorothy (Thompson) Pruitt.David had worked at Wonder Bread and Vincennes University and was a graduate of Fritchton High School and Vincennes University.David was a ham radio operator for many years as he talked to every country except two. He loved deer hunting and was an avid Lincoln Alice basketball fan and Green Bay Packer fan. David loved his dogs, Missi and Maddi, and loved going to his great grandsons' activities. He was always willing to help anyone and never met a stranger.Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Linda Pruitt; his step mother, Etta Pruitt of Vincennes; his daughters, Kim Donaldson and her husband Scott of Eddyville, KY, and Krista Wallace of Vincennes; his step-daughter, Kandy Burrowes and her husband Bill of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Griffin Donaldson and his fianc Emily, Graham Donaldson and his wife Ellen, and Grace Donaldson; his step granddaughters, Kassi Burrowes, and Lindsey Dardeen and her husband Mitch; and his step great grandsons, Nolan Martin and Moxen Dardeen; and several sisters.David was preceded in death by his parents and a step son- Scott Patrick.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday September 26, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Nielson officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service. Burial will be at a later date. Goodwin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of David Pruitt.
