David Lynn Willis went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born on Sunday, March 7, 1954. Those left to cherish his memories includes his wife, the love of his life Tania Willis of 31 years, son Andrew Willis wife Heather, daughter Lindsey Willis, (Eric), son Toby Coatney wife Misti, Cody Parman wife Amanda, one brother Jimmie L France wife Linda; 5 grandchildren Destiny Willis, Yianna Willis, Simon Willis, Makenzie Willis, Christian Coatney, Alec Coatney, Caleigh Ramsey, Nolan Parman, Emmett Parman, Reese Parman; 2 great grandchildren Archer Tittle, Maia Coatney, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father James O. Willis, mother Marjorie L. Soden Willis, brother Wayne Catt, sister Leona Faye Scott, brother Mike Willis, sister Pam Eliott, brother Eugene Catt, sister Barbara Catt, along with other relatives and friends. David Lynn Wills graduated from Oakland City College with a BA degree in Theology. He is an ordained minister for The General Baptist denomination. He was a former deacon at First Baptist Church and a lay minister at Bethlehem Church in Vincennes. Spending years in Honduras as missionaries was a great experience for him and Tania. He loved to preach and tell others about Christ. He loved the ministry and loved his family dearly. Marital arts, was important to him, he taught others for over 40 years. He loved to fish, work, and take care of others. He will be deeply missed by all! Funeral services celebrating the life of David Lynn Willis will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home 524 Broadway Street Vincennes Indiana. Officiating will be Rev. Cody Parman. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes, Indiana. Under the direction of Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, Vincennes; Indiana. Visitation for family and friends will be held at 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Faith Home or LAM program in honor of him.
