Delores Evans

Delores A. Evans, 92, of Vincennes, IN, passed July 1, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born in Washington, IN, on June 3, 1926, to Clyde and Zora (Steen) Burks.Delores was a member of Franklin Heights Christian Church. She had served as Knox County Treasurer from 1980 - 1988, and was active in the Republican Women's Club. For many years, she lived in Wheatland, IN.She was married on May 15, 1943, to Kenneth Adams. He passed away Oct. 29, 1973. On Feb. 21, 1975, she married Robert Evans, and he passed away Feb. 12, 2016. She was also preceded by two grandchildren.Surviving her are her children, Phillip Adams and his wife, Linda, of Owasso, OK, Peggy Wagoner of Indianapolis, IN, and James Adams and his wife, Beverly, of Wheatland, IN; her step-children, Darrell Evans of Vincennes, IN, John Evans and his wife, Gail, of Florida, Stephen Evans of Vincennes, IN, Mark Evans and his wife, LaNeal, of Vincennes, IN, and Robert Evans and his wife, Bambi, of Shelburn, IN; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren, with one on the way.Friends may visit with Delores's family from 11:00 - 1:00 on Thursday, at Goodwin Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 1:00 on Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Wheatland Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice or the Franklin Heights Christian Church.
