Dennis Brown

Dennis E. Brown, 73, passed away peacefully at his daughter's residence in Frisco, Texas on April 30, 2021. Denny was born on June 8, 1947, in Washington, Indiana to Louis Delmar and Hannah Jane (Frazo) Brown. He married Marcella Ray on October 23, 1971 and she survives.Denny graduated from Montgomery High School in 1965 and served his country in the United States Army based in Fort Richardson and the Chugach Mountains of Alaska from 1966-1969. He also attended the National School of Meat Cutting in Toledo, Ohio in 1970. He was baptized at Otterbien United Methodist Church on Highway 57 by Rev. Fred Beedles. Denny had been in retail grocery and management for fifteen years and owned and operated a can milk route for two and a half years. He retired after twenty- six years at NSWC Crane in Security and Supply. Denny enjoyed golfing, fishing, mushroom hunting, yard work, gardening, NFL Football, IU basketball, St. Louis Cardinal baseball, and most importantly his grandchildren. He also was a member of the American Legion.Survivors include his wife, Marcella Brown of Washington; daughter, Amy Schiotz and her husband Matt of Frisco, TX; his grandchildren, Ridge Jackson (6) and Riva Brooke Schiotz (5); sisters, Nancy Bolton, Susan McCall, and Debbie (Mike) Yeager. Denny was preceded in death by his parents, foster mother Georgia "Josie" Trosper, and sisters Barbara, Delma Kay, and Clara, and his brothers James Raymond and Larry Eugene Brown.Friends may visit with Denny's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN with Rev.
