Dixie L. Bridges, 84, passed away at 8:27 am on April 2, 2021 at Daviess Community Hospital. Dixie was born on January 15, 1937 in Daviess County the daughter of Charles H. and Rose V. (Lawyer) Fidler. She married Douglas Bridges on September 3, 1977 and he preceded her in death on August 31, 1997.Dixie was a former member of the Moose and Eagles and had worked at American Laundry and Peoples Cleaners for many years.Survivors include her children, Sharon Cornelius and her husband Edward, Terry Hill and his wife, Michelle; her loving companion of many years Phil Weirich, and his sons, Travis, Shawn, Jamie, and Todd; her grandchildren, Amanda Henry and her husband Brandon, Brittany Clark and her husband Jacob, Eddie Cornelius and his wife Clarrisa, Kayla Preston and her husband Aaron, Whittney Bynum and her husband Eric, T.J. Hill and his fianc Joselyn Williams, and fifteen great grandchildren. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Douglas Bridges; son, Roger Hill; brothers, Robert, Bill, Charles L. (Buck), Ronald, and Donald Fidler, and brother in infancy, James R.; sisters, Marcella Wilson, Eleanor Brown, Bonnie Chestnut, sister in infancy, Donnie, and her great grandson, Kevden Bynum.Friends may visit with Dixie's family from 4- 8 on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 and from 10:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State Street, Washington, IN 47501.
