Donald Anderson

Donald L. Anderson, 87, passed away at 6:20 am on December 7, 2018 at The Villages At Oak Ridge in Washington, IN. Don was born on October 1, 1931 in Palmyra Township the son of Francis and Edna (Wright) Anderson. He married Edna Marie Gaddis on July 29, 1950 and she preceded him in death on November 2, 2011.Don retired as warehouse superintendent for E. Bierhaus and Sons after four decades. He loved woodworking and tinkering with steam engines and worked on small engines his whole life. Don also enjoyed going to flea markets and auctions.Survivors include his sons, Steve Anderson and his wife Penny of Jasper, Mike Anderson and his wife Gayle of Vincennes; brothers, Harry Anderson and his wife Nancy of Florida, Jerry Anderson and his wife Jane of Evansville; brother-in-law, Charles Gaddis of Robinson, IL; sister-in-law, Marcia Gaddis of Heathsville, Il; grandchildren, Ryan Anderson and his wife Sam, Courtney Anderson, Kristin Cullivan and her husband Michael, Aaron Anderson, Katie Anderson; great grandchildren, Bianca Anderson, Layne Anderson, Evelyn Anderson, Gracelyn Cullivan, Lexus Anderson, Payton Cullivan and Natalie Cullivan. Don was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Edna Marie Anderson, two brothers and a sister.Friends may visit with Don's family from 2-5 pm on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Don's funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
