Donald Holland

Donald "Don" Holland, 84, of Washington, IN went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2023. He was born in Washington, IN on February 14, 1939, to the late Mally E. and Myrtle (Simmons) Holland. Don attended the Plainville High School. He was a lifelong farmer. Don married, the love of his life, Patsy Everhart on June 6, 1969. He was a member of the Zion EUB Church and of the Masonic Lodge in Glendale. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting tractors, playing his guitar and banjo, shopping for antiques, tinkering, teasing his children and grandchildren, vegetable gardening, watching the Cubs and Bears play, and wood working. Don was truly a jack of all trades and family man who will be deeply missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Dena (Kevin) Fricke; brothers William Howard (Fern) Holland, John David (Elsie) Holland, James Roy Holland; and sister Thelma Louise (Joe) Phillips. Don is survived by his wife, of 53 years, Patsy Holland; children Dennis James (Annie) Holland, Denise Sue Dinkens, Cynthia Louise Holland-Hunter; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Rhea Holland; and many nieces and nephews. Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mr. Holland. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 3-7pm at 2020 State Street. A funeral will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 11am at the Parkview Christian Church with burial at Plainville Cemetery following immediately. Memorial donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital or St. Jude Children's Hospital in Don's honor.
