Donald Stafford

Donald K. Stafford, 78, of 11325 E Evans Road, Wheatland, passed away at 8:58 a.m. December 4, 2013 at his residence.He was born in Wheatland on October 20, 1935 to Leland and Ruth (Cain) Stafford.Don retired after 26 years as the dog warden for Knox County and also had farmed. In his early working years he worked for the Indiana State Highway Department. He attended the Temple Baptist Church in Washington, enjoyed bowling, and listening to high school basketball games.Surviving are his children; Diana (Jim) Russell of Wheatland, Tina Beaman & Bruce Hirter of Robinson, IL , Doug (Cindy) Stafford of Vincennes, Dexter (Elaine) Stafford of Washington, and Dennis (Michelle) Stafford of Washington, ten grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Preceding Don in death were his parents; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Wanda Clark and Marcia Stafford.Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday December 9, 2013 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Jim Russell officiating.
