Donald Ziegler

Donald A. Ziegler, 90, of Vincennes, passed away at 3:40 pm Monday, January 18, 2021 at BridgePointe Health Campus in Vincennes.Don was born August 1, 1930 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania to Amos and Bertha (Schlegel) Ziegler.Don retired from Vincennes Steel where he was Vice-President of engineering. Dan received a Bachelor's in Civil engineering from Lafayette College and a Master's in Civil Engineering from Drexel University. He also served in the US Army. A member of the First Baptist Church, he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and Boy Scout Troop Master. Some of Don's favorite pastimes were playing tennis, bowling, ping pong, and being on the golf course.Survivors include his sons, Mark Ziegler and his wife Terry of St. Mary's, GA, John Ziegler and his wife Heidi of Hatfield, PA; granddaughter Kristen Ziegler of St. Mary's GA;Don was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Ruth (Reese) Ziegler whom he married on December 19, 1954 and preceded him on April 18, 2020; sister, Joyce Pearson; brother-in-law Robert Reese; and a grandson, Derek Ziegler.Private services will be held at a later date and Don will be entombed at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Pottstown, PA.
