Donna Mathews, 65 of 1410 Bayou Street passed away on August 15, 2012 at I.U. Health North in Indianapolis, Indiana. Donna was born on April 23, 1947 in Vincennes the daughter of William R. and Margaret A. Balthus. Donna was a member of First Church of God where she was a part of Mom's in Touch. She was the coordinator of Family Table Ministry which provided meals to people who were in need. Donna also cooked meals at the Vincennes Masonic Lodge. She was also a member of the National Herb Society.Survivors include her husband, Don Mathews of Vincennes; son Don Mathews of Albuquerque, NM; son David Mathews of Indianapolis; her beloved pet, Izzy; sisters, Bonnie Balthus of Evansville, IN; Jean Welton of Vincennes; Kathy Balthus of Wheatland, IN; Connie Young and her husband Louie of Vincennes; Georgetta Gaines and her husband Jim of Vincennes, brothers, Bill Balthus and his wife Casey of Vincennes; Francis Balthus and his wife JoAnn of Vincennes; John Balthus and his wife Beverly of Vincennes; brother-in-law, David Mathews and his wife Dee of Louisiana; sister-in-laws, Sue Rutledge and her husband Jim of Bruceville; Jeanette Lewis of Columbus, IN; Sandra Mathews of Bruceville several nieces and nephews and best friends Terry and Mary Harper. Donna was preceded in death by her mother and father, Margaret and William Balthus; mother and father-in-law, Dave and Helen Mathews; nephews Chad Balthus and Joey Adams and brother-in-law's Clyde Mathews and Mike Welton. Funeral services for Donna will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at First Church Of God, 1408 E. St. Clair with Pastors Georg Karl and Fred Nocus officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Friends may visit with Donna's family from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway and after 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
