Donna Mcgavic

Donna J. McGavic, 53 of 1709 N. 13th Street, passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October, 14, 2012 at her residence. Donna was born on August 13, 1959 in Vincennes the daughter of Joseph D. the first and Dorothy (King) Melvin. Donna married Virgil McGavic the first on February 14, 1976. Donna provided day care in her home for many years and her children and grandchildren were her life. Survivors include her husband, Virgil McGavic the first of Vincennes; her mother, Dorothy Melvin of Vincennes; son, Virgil McGavic II and his wife, Angel of Vincennes; daughter, Tonya Sutton and her husband J.R. of Vincennes; sister, Barbara Early and her husband Michael of Vincennes, grandchildren, Zak McGavic, Abbi McGavic and Jaclyn Sutton. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Joseph D. Melvin II. Funeral services for Donna will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to defray medical expenses.
