Donna S Wonning

Donna S. Wonning, 85, of Vincennes, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024. She was born on July 12, 1938, the daughter of Don and Peggy (Adams) Tewalt.

She was a 1956 graduate of Decker High School. After graduation she worked for Strashen and Hasty Department store. She also worked for the South Knox School Corporation for almost 30 years. She was a member of the Indiana Presbyterian church.

Donna married Larry G. Wonning on February 24, 1957. They made their life together for 54 years, until his passing in 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Joyce Carie and brothers-in-law August Carie and Joe Hess.

Survivors include her sister, Deanna Hess; her son, Tim (Tamra) Wonning; daughters, Deborah (Mark) Yeske and Tammy (George) McCormack; her grandchildren, Drew (Rebecca) Wonning, Jordan (Laura) Wonning, Sydney (Caleb) Lemons, Jessie Nowaskie, Justin Yeske, Phillip (Molly) Yeske, Leigha (Nic) Byler, Taylor (Brenden) McDonald, Betsy (Lucas) Crockett, Jennifer (Jed) Zampedri; great grandchildren, Colton, Kali, Peyton, Avery, Maverick, Matthew, Boone, Kaydence, Kash, Eden, Camden, Callum, Eli, Cailyn, and Killian.

There will be a private graveside service with her son-in-law Mark Yeske officiating. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Donna.
