Dora Stivers

Dora Jane Stivers, 43, of Vincennes, IN passed away March 17, 2022. She was born June 10, 1978, in Vincennes, IN to John A. and Patsy R. Stivers. Dora attended Lincoln High School and Vincennes University. She worked in healthcare for many years at Good Samaritan Hospital, KCARC, and Help at Home. Dora enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, shopping, playing computer games and spending time with her family and friends. Dora also loved helping people and her final act of kindness was to giving the gift of sight through organ donation. She will be deeply missed by all. Dora was preceded by her father John A. Stivers; uncles Donald White and Bobby Stivers; aunts Barbara Carpenter and Cathy Stevens; grandparents Dora and Clarence Hatfield and Alvin and Sarah White. She is survived by her mother Patsy Stivers; siblings John Aron Stivers and Contessa Lynn Stivers; nephew Malaki Anthony Stivers; aunts and uncles Scott (Amy) Hatfield, Harlen (Denise) Groves, Fred (Sue) Wagoner, Frank Carpenter; dogs Leeloo and Corbin; and many friends and cousins. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored and entrusted with the care of Ms. Stivers. Visitation will be held Friday, March 25, 2022, from 10am to 2pm at Goodwin-Sievers 524 Broadway St. Vincennes, IN. Funeral services will be held March 25, 2022, at 2pm with burial at Memorial Park to follow.
