Doreen "Dee" Moriarty

Doreen "Dee" Moriarty, 82, formerly of Vincennes and Naples, passed away on April 1, 2016 at her home in Fishers, with her family at her bedside.Dee was born December 31, 1933 in Rotherham England to Edgar and Carrie (Yates) Brown.Dee served as secretary treasurer of Mitchell Furniture in Vincennes. An avid golfer and bridge player, she loved to be with her daughters and grandsons, especially boating and by the pool. She lived for her family as family was very very important to her. Surviving is her husband William "Bill" Moriarty whom she married in May of 1959; two daughters, Catherine Moriarty of Bala Cynwyd, PA and Paula Bowers of Indianapolis; two grandsons, Nicholas and Jackson Bowers; a sister, Elaine (Tom) Surrendonk of Wolf Creek, Montana; and her life-long friends, Alan and Pauline Anderson of Brighton, England.A visitation will be held at the Holy Spirit of Geist Chapel, 10350 Glasser Way in Fishers Indiana from 2:00 - 4:00 pm Tuesday April 5 with a scripture service to follow by Rev. Dan Garland. Visitation will also be at the Goodwin Funeral Home in Vincennes on Wednesday April 6 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm followed by a scripture service by Rev. David Fleck.
