Doris A. McCord, 87, 1222 Weed Lane, Vincennes, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011 at her residence. Born June 27, 1924, in Knox County, she was the daughter of Adda Logan and Luna Anna (McCammon) Carrie. Doris was retired from Kroger's where she worked in the office. She was a member of Beal Pentecostal Church. She liked reading cookbooks and spending time with her family.Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Brackin and her husband, Joe and Regina Raney and her husband, Mark all of Vincennes; sister, LaVaughn Reitmeyer of Vincennes; and granddaughter, Kaleigh Raney.Preceding Doris in death were her parents; husband, Bruce McCord who passed away November 10, 2009; and sisters and brothers Edward Carrie, Chester Carrie, Estelle Manning, Evelyn Sutton, Evah Johnson, Vernice Beadle, Donna Heuby and Delorial Deeley.Funeral services will be held Monday, August 22 at 1:30 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St., with Pastor Michael Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
